Equality: Equal protection under law

Hinduism teaches that we are all equal and that includes all humanity. And also that each one of us has some divinity within ourselves and therefore we are all connected through this divine presence. Prejudice and discrimination against anyone or any religion, race or gender violates our basic teachings. We oppose prejudice and discrimination including caste discrimination. Everybody has equal religious, social and spiritual rights. Prejudice and discrimination is unacceptable and wrong, regardless of whether it is prohibited by policy or law.

 We reject any claim that prejudice and discrimination based on caste are inherent to Hinduism.
